I am a beginner of yoga. I know that practising yoga can help my body to become more flexible and healthy. I know I can release my stress from working and feel totally refresh after the class. After my instructor mentioned that I feel that I should explore more on the Yoga philosophy. Haha.. not to show off in the class BUT to know more.
I still remember the day I was able to straighten my spine and touched my toes with my hands without bended my knee after joining Yoga class for almost a month. I was so happy that I can see the result so fast. Before that I cannot bend down and touch my toes with my hands. Yeah, you may think that it is so easy to do that. This is a simple exercise that most of the people can do it BUT not me. Actually I hurt my lower back last time and have spine problem. It is really amazing. This is also one of the reasons that make me so intent on attending Yoga class everyday.

Yoga is good but I like Tai Chi better. Tai Chi involve a lot in deep breathing.
Deep breathing help us to have more take in more oxygen, it help our body to train to breath more efficiently.
I only took 3 pain killer bill post open heart surgery. All the health care professionals who took care of me were shocked. The doc prescribed 30 percocet post op but I only consume 3.
It is how amazing how Tai Chi has helped me to breath better !
Yoga is good as well, one of my girlfriends mother teach Yoga when she was 20yrs old, now she is 82 and she is still teaching Yoga. I don’t think many 30yrs old women look as graceful and flexible than her :).

keeyit || Hi Jamy, I can learn Tai Chi and Qi Kong previously. I stopped that because I moved out from that areas. Now the place that I stay now do not have Tai Chi & Qi Kong. So I changed to yoga. Wah.. really amazing ! You are strong ! Health is important for everyone of us.
Interesting stuff. Have heard about all these but still haven’t got around to actually jump in. Hmm, maybe one of these days.
keeyit || May be you can find out more on this first or you can try to do some simple poses at home to feel it first.
i stopped yoga abt a yr ago. now i dont do enuf stretching n it shows. when i was doing yoga, it felt great. i was supple and felt healthy n actually lost weight. now i have gained weight but what i miss most is the feeling of euphoria after every yoga lesson. i stopped bcoz of an accident which hurt my leg
keeyit || Ohh.. you learnt yoga before.. Good to hear that.. May be after you feel better on your legs you can start yoga again. I believe yoga can help on your injured in your leg.

Oh well. I’ve enjoyed doing Yoga, too. There’s time when I can barely touch my toes - to be exact: most of the time LOL. But there’s also time when I can “magically” hold my toes as well. I have no idea about these. Haha. Aging is the answer I guess. lol.
*I’ve missed my yoga class for like 3 weeks already. Lazy me :P*

keeyit || Hi, sometimes you can do it and sometimes you cannot. Hmm.. I think may be due to your spine is still not flexible yet. I heard from my yoga instructor that if we stop for sometimes and continue back the practise we will feel a bit more difficult and sometimes will feel pain. The best is practising yoga twice a week. Practise yoga frequently can make your spine become more flexible and I believe one day you can hold your feet firmly !
I read up on the yoga philosophy as well because I felt yoga is not just physical…it’s mental and a way of life.
