Photo Hunter - Old-Fashioned

Malacca Town is very near to my hometown - Tampin. It is just 35 minutes drives. During weekend, my family and I like to go to Malacca for good food. As we know, Malacca is the oldest city in Malaysia and well known on it’s historical tourist attraction spots. One of the famous spots that I always go is Jonker Walk. Besides enjoying good food in Jonker Walk, you can see a lot of old-fashioned buildings along the Jonker Walk streets.
We seldom can see this kind of building nowadays. City development is the main cause of the damage of this kind of old-fashioned buildings. Please save our beautiful old buildings.

Really old fashion colonial shop houses!!… lots of them in my town too….
I love strolling along all the peranakan shops shopping for my kebayas :)There’s quite a few restaurants there that also serve good nonya food
Similar situation in Penang here. :/
Mine are up

I used to visit Malacca with my family on weekends for the Nonya food and old town charms but it is always crowded on weekends. I don’t go to Malacca now.
Yeah! Malacca is pretty historical!! That sums up to be being old-fashioned!
studied in mlk for 4 years. it’s one of the best places for food.
a lot of nice food there. jonker street…dont really like it because very crowded. but the dessert there not bad and u can get a lot of weird weird stuff from there.
Old fashion buildings are full characters. Their attention to details is unbelieveable! Yeah, all these beautiful buildings should be protected. They’re the legacy that should be handed down generation to generation.

Great photos! Perfect for old fashioned. Happy weekend.
Lol, shouldn’t it be some old antique car in 2nd pic instead of a new luxury car?
I DO love this photo hunt you’ve shown us. Old buildings like this have so much history.
Thanks for the visit.
Looks very much like some streets in my country.
They resemble some places I’ve seen in the Philippines. I’m sure it’s a wonderful place to visit.
am really missing my hometown! Cant wait to go back this coming CNY!
Great old buildings and I love the name of Jonkers Walk
beautiful! photos lovely buildings and congrats on your motor ride!
I want chicken rice ball & satay celup!!! hehe… It’s been a long time since I’ve been there.
My last visit to melaka was back in 2005. I like the place. very laid back and reminds me of home a lot when I was there. Now that I’m at home, I missed the other side pulak. *sigh* - Human nature eh? They never get satisfied with stuffs. Always change here and there .. Oh, well. Whatever - Nevermind
I tend to love older buildings better than modern ones, myself. Thank heaven there are people who try to preserve a few for the rest of us. And I’ve tagged you for a meme over at my blog!
cool photos of Malacca. so nostalgic looking at them! do you have one of the iconic red building / wall too?
