This is not my problem
How often you use this word “This is not my problem.” ?
I explore something new today. During today’s discussion, I heard someone said “This is not my problem. I am doing this way because I want to show that this is not what I am doing wrong and this is their problem.”
I asked myself “why” ? We are in the same company and doing the same project. BUT why we need to have this kind of thought? Don’t we all have a same goal and we all want to complete the job on time ?
Cross communication is a very important skills that everyone of us must learn. We should learn on focusing problem solving instead of pointing fingers blaming each others.

Hahahaa…
How many times have I heard that? People don’t want to take ownership of something and they are too damn selfish to help others.
It’s not just lack of communication but lack of teamwork as well.
*sigh*… we all IT folks should be sent for intensive workshops on teamwork and soft-skills training. Since most of us are introverted and quite selfish. What to do… We face the damn inanimate PC all day…
keeyit || People are happy to see people suffer.. sigh..
The ‘Gold Finger’ of my office said it in another way, but same meaning:
This is your problem.
keeyit || Hahahhahaha.. that one is obviously directly to you le..
This is the kiasu mentality… all they care about is covering themselves.
keeyit || Yes.. covering ass.. Hhahaha
Heard this many times. Too many!
keeyit || This is the reality of working world.
I suppose the person who uttered that is not a big fan of The Musketeers or their slogan “All for one and one for all!”
keeyit || Hahhaha.. true..
I don’t like this kind of blaming culture, but unfortunately it exists in all offices!
keeyit || Sigh..
This is very common where the tai chi masters show their skills. Covering your back and make your performance report beautiful are more important. This is the nature in the workplace.
keeyit || I think I shall learn from you on how to report my performance beautifully.. haha
we usually say, “your problem la!!”
hehe
keeyit || Hahhahaha.. must be your problem la.. hahaha
Oh, this happens a lot! It’s not my problem, so I wash my hands off it! How convenient!
You are talking about things happening in your working environment. Well, I don’t think such culture starts at the office level. In fact, you can see this kind of mentality even when you are in the secondary school and university levels. During planning stages, reminders can be heard everywhere. This is something good but in the end when something goes bad, everyone started to point fingers at each other.
The main problem is that they don’t share the same common goal or mission or vision together, therefore some may put a lot of effort while some might just wandering around. It’s not fair to those who put effort to great extend for the company / organization therefore the manager / leader must be able to pinpoint those who are good and abandon those who are bad.
I really don’t wish to meet such people when I start working although it is totally unavoidable.
meant that guy or girl just follow whatever people do no matter it is right or wrong? this kind of person never can be in management or leadership level.
That is so true, pointing fingers never lead to anywhere but wasting time.
